We worked alongside the Architecht Matt Jones for this project. The property was a listed terrace building in the conservation area of Angel Islington.

The project involved reconfiguring and extending the property; inserting a frameless glass walk-on terrace; creating a new kitchen dining space with double height windowns to provide as much natural light as possible and views into the terrace garden.

On the top floor we reconfigured the master bedroom and staircaise to include an ensuite.

Mr and Mrs Russell originally asked for assistance with the layout of their flat conversion from a former shop to convert it into a residential property. We worked with them on a design which allowed there to be two bedrooms in the basement without any windows, but not to feel claustrophobic. They couple also required lots of clever storage space to be built into the property. The project carried out was of a very high specification, with no compromise on material quality.

Every part of the flat was replaced and renovated, including plastering and installing wall panelling and coving to all walls; fitting a new kitchen; new electrical system including built-in ceiling speakers and under floor heating; building a bespoke hardwood staircase with built in storage underneath, and hardwood floors throughout. The owners wanted a double rain shower and bath with enough hot water to run all at the same time. As there was no gas available to the property, we designed a system which included an electric storage tank, which allowed full pressure hot water for prolonged periods of time and tucked this away behind the stairs so not to use up any unnecessary space.

START of "Sunnyside House Listed Building" gallery

'Sunnyside House' is a dominant listed building in Wimbledon village. It has been converted into four flats. The request was to fully renovate the external building.

Once the scaffold was erected, we could see that the guttering and fascias were in a state of poor repair, so we renewed them in plastic to give a long life with low maintenance, due to the height. There were quite a few areas of rot which were all carefully repaired with hardwood. We also renovated the communal garages by removing the leaking roof covering, creating a new timber roof framework and changing the covering to felt. A number of rotten joists were also renewed before three new garage doors were fitted.

"Lewis managed the external redecoration and renovation of a substantial four-story, detached, Victorian house for the freeholders as well as organising various repairs/improvements to my own flat. He performed wonderful jobs on a cost effective basis. The whole process was entirely "pain free" as problems arising were always solved before we even realised they had existed." - John, Freehold company director and householder

Dr Wood owns in a mid terrace Victorian townhouse. He asked for us to re-model his basement, kitchen and family bathroom; the main objective was to make it as light and open as possible.

The whole project ran very smoothly and to budget. The outcome was a significant improvement to his property & also an increased value.

Mr and Mrs Scott own a substantial family home in Surrey. They wanted to renovate the family bathroom and create an extra bedroom, by using a maisonette floor in one bedroom.

We designed and built a bespoke safe room access and renovated some other parts of the house at the same time.

START of "Angel Islington Victorian Maisonette " gallery

The property is a listed terrace building in the conservation area of Angel Islington.

The project involved a full bare brick strip out; reconfiguring the existing maisonette's layout to make it a spacious & social two bedroom property.

A bespoke solid oak staircase leads the way to the open plan living area, with a Maison made kitchen including extra high wall units to maximise storage space. Hand rivened french oak flooring throughout and wall moldings to bring victorian charm back to the space.

Matching Carera marble was used in both the kitchen and the bathroom.

Cast Iron radiators were fitted throughout.

Polished concrete to bathroom walls.

Italian stone resin bath and sinks.

Built in music system throughout.

Bespoke wardrobes and converted loft storage room to maximise storage.

We created a feature fireplace including a Chesneys gas fire basket, bespoke fire surround and the TV sunk into the wall to give a seemless look.
